Jen Lynch and Dr Andrea Sharam (RMIT School of Property, Construction and Project Management) recently collaborated with Allie Hanly, host of the Saltgrass podcast, to develop a three-episode series on resident-led housing approaches in regional Victoria.

The podcast collects a range of perspectives from across the Castlemaine community to explore how commoning (the sharing of individual resources for collective benefit) can unlock housing opportunities. The project was funded by an RMIT Enabling Impact Platform Thought Leadership grant, which also supported a workshop. This event brought together residents, Mount Alexander Shire Council, community organisations, and experts who have realised resident-led housing projects, @propertycollectives, @urban_coup_on_hop and WINC Cohousing. The project was supported locally by the Castlemaine Free University and the My Home Network.
