The Approaching Landscape conference utilises the key terms of landscape and architecture as active terms that enable a positioning of practice and associated projects within a theoretical framework and historiographical lineage.
The Approaching Landscapes conference introduces key contemporary projects, approaches and techniques within the discipline. The conference is framed around three distinctive themes that identify the various fields and their connections as: Nature, Stereotomics and Tectonics, and Polemics. These themes are fundamental to understanding the context in which Landscape Architecture has developed, from the past to the present.
